Coastal Navigation - The Art of Getting There...

Just as in the Journey of Life you want to know where you are and where you're going.  On the water, where you can't pull over and ask for directions, it is even more critical to know how to safely navigate all the unknowns we face as sailors.

ASA105 - Coastal Navigation - Learn to safely navigate your local waters or waters far from home and the associated weather, tides and currents.  This course takes the basic line on a chart and helps you better plan your journey, departing and safely arriving at your destination.  Perfect for those considering a winter vacation in warmer destinations or those wanting to gain confidence on the water.

Prerequisite - No ASA requirements - an interest in charts and exciting locals is a plus.

Format -  Classroom - Two Consecutive weekends - 4 hours each day, 16 hours total

 Schedule - March 10 &11 and 17& 18th - 1:30 - 5:30P - MYC Boathouse.  Stay for dinner at the club following class.

Learning Investment - All course materials (books, charts, tests) and certification fees -

Special MYC Member Price of $375.00.

Call or e-mail the club or Brian Earl with your interest soon.  Look for the next series of Navigation Classes including the Celestial Endorsement, in April.
