Membership - You'll want to be a part of it!
As the oldest yacht club on the Great Lakes since 1871, we are very proud of our heritage and tradition. While our mission and history include numerous world recognized one-design and other sailboat regattas, we offer much more as you will see from our website. We welcome all those who have an interest in boating, simply love being near the lake, or are looking to widen their social and business networks. For some people, MYC has been the place to store, dock and launch boats, boat races, a school for learning how to sail or to run a power boat safely. For others the club has been the place for dining, weddings, company parties, business meetings, relaxation and conferences. All of these people have used the club to experience the benefits of our Great Lake , the area's most significant natural resource, throughout the year.
MYC Member Amenities Include:
Newly renovated brick Clubhouse (may be used for private parties)
Spectacular view of the city skyline and lake
The Boathouse with Pool & Spa (features a bar and grill, locker rooms and showers)
Sailing School Program
Members Only Parking Lot (off street)
Ideal 18's - fleet of 6 fully rigged 18ft keelboats, available daily In-Season for all members' use
Club Reciprocity - Locally and Worldwide
Member Events and Racing Series
Yard & Dock - full service and storage abilities, pumpout, fueling, etc.
The MYC Tender is also available to members and their guests for transport from McKinley Marina slips to the MYC dining room and back. In addition to the dock, moorings in the protected harbor are served by the Club's Tender service.
MYC has several organized Fleets and various social activities for members enjoyment and which can broaden your network of likeminded lakeshore lifestyle friends. We would be happy to assist you in joining one of our Fleets, Committees, Crew and meeting other MYC members who have similar interests as you.
