Sean Lennon

A life-long sailor, Sean began attending the Oshkosh Yacht Club Sailing in elementary school. Years later he became an instructor at the same sailing school in the late 1990’s.

He has previously worked at Milwaukee Yacht Club as a Racing Director and Head Coach, and he is excited to return in 2024. For the last four years, he has held various coaching and parental coordinator roles for the Oshkosh Yacht Club Sailing School. He has worked with 420s, Lasers/ILCA Dinghies, Optis, and O'pen Skiffs. He has coached students in regattas around the Midwest. These have included both ILYA events and US sailing area qualifiers in Minnetonka, Racine, and Sheboygan.

Sean is US Sailing certified levels 1, 2 and 3, which includes advanced safety and coaching certifications. He is also an instructor trainer for US sailing. This role has allowed him to train and certify instructors throughout the United States.

During the school year, Sean is an elementary school music teacher for Milwaukee Public Schools. Sean is currently teaching General Music and Modern Band, at both H.W. Longfellow and Morgandale schools in Milwaukee. When he isn’t on the water racing his own Laser, he enjoys guitar, disc golf, and playing Legos with his wife and five-year-old son.

He is extremely excited to work with all levels of sailors this year. He especially loves to help sailors reach and achieve their goals.
